This policy explains how BALLDONTLIE LLC handles your information when you use our website, accounts, APIs, and connected tools, including our OpenAI integration.
Information we use
We process your email address, sign-in information, account identifiers, subscription and payment status, and messages you send to support. When you use our services, we also process requested queries and technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, usage events, and errors.
How we use it
We use this information to operate your account, return the data you request, manage access and usage limits, respond to support requests, and maintain service reliability and security. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models in any way.
ChatGPT and connected tools
When you connect BALLDONTLIE to ChatGPT or another supported client, you sign in with BALLDONTLIE and approve access. We process the connection permissions, authorization tokens, and tool requests needed to answer your queries. The integration does not request your full chat history, contacts, or unrelated files. It receives the arguments sent with each tool request and returns the requested sports data or an error. Your BALLDONTLIE password and permanent API key are not sent to ChatGPT through this integration.
Service providers and connected clients
Hosting, storage, payment, support, monitoring, and website-measurement providers process information needed to provide their services to us. A client you connect, such as ChatGPT, receives authorization tokens and the results of your requests. That provider handles information it receives under its own privacy policy and settings.
Cookies and measurement
We use cookies for sign-in and related functionality. Our website also uses advertising-measurement tags, and our account app uses performance monitoring and sampled session replay with user inputs masked. These advertising and browser-monitoring integrations are excluded from our OAuth login and consent pages. You can block or clear cookies through your browser; this may affect sign-in.
Retention and deletion
We retain information necessary to make the application function while it is needed for that purpose. Data that is not necessary for the application to function, primarily observability and telemetry data, is retained for one month. We delete all your data held by BALLDONTLIE upon request. Send deletion requests to hello@balldontlie.io.
Your controls
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing hello@balldontlie.io. You can revoke a connected client at Connected apps. Disconnecting stops future authorized access; it does not delete your BALLDONTLIE account or data already received by another provider. Requests to delete data held by another provider should be made directly to that provider.
Age
BALLDONTLIE does not set a minimum age for using its services. Connected services may have their own age requirements.
